CLEARFIELD – It is time for the Central PA Mountains Food & Music Fest.
This free, family friendly event takes place on Friday, June 9 starting at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 10 beginning at noon at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
The headliner is Nashville recording artist, Daniel E. Johnson.
“If you like great country music, then you are not going to want to miss Johnson’s performance,” said Susan Vitullo, Executive Director of Visit Clearfield County, adding that the entire event is free including all of the musical performances which will be at the Grove Stage.
Johnson’s country music talent and songs display a wide spectrum of emotion, from good-time songs all the way to heartbreak. His EP, All We Ever Knew with the single, American Hearts, debuted at #11 on the Country iTunes Chart with over one million streams.
His latest song, Heart Mechanic, recently hit 50K streams on Spotify.
Johnson has shared the stage with Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cole Swindell, Darius Rucker and more; and is revered in media reports “as a name you should pay attention to.”
Daniel and his band plan to keep the audiences on their feet with his revitalizing energy and touching, sentimental new release, When I Drink I Do.
Other festival performances include: The Clairvoyants, Matt Day who will be providing something for everyone from the rock era, Heather Olson and the Silver Eagle Band (Gary Turner, Mike Russell, Phil Ponish and Bob McCloskey) whose style of music ranges from country, classic rock, oldies, and southern rock and Brandon Giuffre, according to a press release.
“There is no other event like this held in the area,” Vitullo noted.
In addition to the musical entertainment, the festival is hosting a display of artisan vendors showcasing hand-made goods and specialty food items set up in the Expo I Building and in the grove.
Attendees can expect to see vendors offering meats, produce, baked goods, dairy products, flowers, ready-to-eat foods, spices, coffee and more.
“You will be able to find things here that you can’t find in a big box store,” Vitullo said.
This is also an opportunity to support local artists and small businesses.
Vendor applications can still be obtained by emailing pafoodmusic@yahoo.com.
Attendees are encouraged to visit https://gantnews.com/foodmusicfest/ or the event Facebook page for festival updates and announcements.
